German Committee Holds Erntedankfest October 2020
On October 5, 2020 the German committee held their first event. Erntedankfest is a traditional German festival of thankfulness for the harvest held the first Sunday of October in Germany. The committee chose this theme to bring cultural awareness to our community. Guests were invited to learn more about the mission of the German committee, find out about our progress in finding a German sister city and to learn about volunteer opportunities. The committee shared their PowerPoint presentation that will be sent to German cities during our ongoing search. The goal is to find a sister city by the Roselle Centennial in 2022. The Erntedankfest event was held at Pollyanna Brewery and was a very successful evening!
