Taste of Roselle
We participated in the Taste of Roselle this year again. It took place from August fifth through the seventh. It is a great annual event to bring your family and friends to as well as your appetite. You get to enjoy a variety of great food, beer, live entertainment, children’s carnival, craft fair, and Bingo tent. It was incredibly special this year because of Roselle’s 100ths Birthday!
RSCA Sister Committees: Italy, Germany, Poland, and India shared two booths and were selling their specialties. There were Italian cookies, German cookies, Polish cookies (kolatsky), paczki and Indian samosa pastry. It was a fundraising event for all of us.
Polish folk dancing group Wisla performed in front of the new mosaic at its grand opening during the fest. The Wisla name comes from Vistula, which is a name of river in Poland. Irene Jarocinski is RSCA member and the dance group manager. Roselle Art and Culture created the mosaic to commemorate the Centennial Birthday.
