The Village of Roselle formed a Sister City commission in 1999 and approved Bochnia, Poland, as our Sister City in 2000. We are actively pursuing potential sister city relationships in Germany, India and Italy.
Roselle Sister Cities Association was officially incorporated under the laws of the State of Illinois on July 16, 2018. The new autonomous not-for-profit status gives the organization more flexibility in fundraising, dispersing charitable funds, and record keeping. We are a member and actively involved with Illinois Sister Cities Association, please check out their website here. We are also a member of Sister Cities International Sister Cities International (SCI) which is headquartered in Washington D.C. SCI is a national non-profit organization of USA communities linked globally with similar communities to promote lasting friendship through a variety of programs.
Roselle and Bochnia, Poland are currently connected as Sister Cities. We have active committees seeking additional sister cities in Germany and Italy.
RSCABOD plans to meet once every quarter in person as per the schedule. Occasionally, there might be a meeting via ZOOM, if needed.
